Frequently Asked Questions

  • What are your credentials?

I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (national credential) and a Licensed Dietitian in the state of MN. I also have a Master’s of Public Health in Nutrition and a Master’s of Science in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine. Additionally, I completed FARE’s 9-month course in Pediatric Food Allergies in June of 2023.

  • What is your experience?

I have a decade of experience in nutrition education and personalized health counseling. I worked for 7 years at a large medical facility in both inpatient and outpatient nutrition on a variety of health conditions. I also have 2 years of experience in a private functional medicine clinic. I currently work in outpatient as well as long-term care.

  • Do you only work with children?

No! I love working with all ages. I have experience with the whole spectrum from children to the elderly and am happy to work with anyone interested in improving their diet. The free consult is for us to determine if we are a good mutual fit before moving forward. If I feel someone else would be a better reference for you, I’m happy to refer to a colleague as appropriate! My goal is that you feel well.

  • Do you accept insurance?

Not yet. I hope to accept insurance in the near future. I will provide documentation of our visit for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement, if desired. If you live locally in Western Minnesota, there are options to see you through a local clinic.

  • How much do visits cost?

The first consult is free to ensure we’re a good fit. After that:

    Initial Visit (60 minutes) - $150

    Follow Up Visits (30 minutes) - $75

    Monthly Membership (3-month minimum)* - $125

*Membership includes two 30-minute visits per month

Reach out to discuss cost further. If this is a barrier, let‘s talk and see if we can find something that works.

  • Are appointments virtual or in-person?

If you live locally to where I am, I’m happy to meet in person, however most visits will be virtual. Most patients prefer phone calls, but I will also accommodate secure video visits. Communication between visits occurs through a secure patient portal.

Each state has specific restrictions with regards to telehealth for dietitians. Most have flexible regulations, and I coordinate with any state boards outside of Minnesota. Reach out to me to discuss if we are able to work together based on your location.
